Join Steve Nelson, Vice President of Facilities at CH Coakley, as he guides you through what was once the main headquarters of Schuster’s Department store (1884), and then Gimbels (1962). Once THE place to do your shopping in Milwaukee, it is currently used as a storage facility and headquarters to CH Coakley. However, there are still many memories within — from the mezzanine which held the department store’s photo area, the main revolving door entrance and shop display windows that featured Billie the Brownie at Christmas, and the, then, ‘state-of-the-art’ escalators — taking you on a trip down memory lane to a time where the building was bustling with shoppers, Learn from Steve how this building can be revitalized for positive neighborhood growth in the future.
Tour this site – currently headquarters for CH Coakley, who is celebrating 40 years of business solutions excellence!
