The Manfred Olson Planetarium was built in 1966 and has been a major part of the Physics building ever since. We use the original star projector from 1966, the spitz A3P optomechanical projector, to look at the night sky.
The Manfred Olson Planetarium will be giving 45 minute shows every hour. Visitors will see a short presentation on a variety of science topics and then be dazzled by the night sky. Look for the Big Dipper, Cygnus the swan, and many more constellations from the countryside.
