The modern-day Milwaukee Public Market, which opened in October of 2005, preserves the nature of this historic neighborhood and capitalizes on the history of an area that native Wisconsinites associate with fresh food. The builders used traditional ideas and expressed them in contemporary form. The use of steel, glass and brick honors the industrial history of the Third Ward.
The Market will feature exhibits focusing on the inner workings and behind-the-scenes elements of the building and its 18 vendors. View the displays and videos throughout the building, and enjoy shopping with all of the Market’s specialty food vendors.
