NOT OPEN WHEN ON CALL
Station 3 was built in 1900, and has one remaining, original fire pole that is still in use. In early days, horse drawn fire engines (steam pumpers) ran out of Station 3. Station 3 currently houses Tower Ladder 1 (Truck 1) and the Dive Rescue Team (Rescue 3, Dive 2). Hose towers are located on each front corner of the station. The station interior received an update approximately 13 years ago.
Visitors will get a little taste of firehouse life. See the fire trucks inside and out, check out the equipment firefighters use, see firefighting gear up close and get information on fire safety. The firehouse is no museum; here you can touch the tools and equipment, and sit in the fire trucks! You may even get to see the firefighters slide down the fire pole. (Sorry. Only firefighters get to use the fire pole.)
