The vision of the Clock Shadow Building from inception to reality was to transform a vacant brownfield site into an environmentally sustainable building that provides a home for occupants that share a commitment to community and environmental values.

Creation of the building was a collaborative effort involving investors, not-for-profit tenants, entrepreneurs, craftspeople, building design professionals and contractors, and many other community stakeholders who embraced and enhanced the quadruple bottom-line mission: economic improvement, social justice, environmental restoration, and cultural celebration.   The 30,000 square foot, four-story building (plus rooftop garden) is now a living part of the neighborhood fabric.

The values and aims of the creation process are now permanently embedded in the physical structure.
