This building, located at 2600 W. Wisconsin Ave, was constructed in 1961 by architecture firm Ebling, Plunkett & Keymar. The building was built specifically for the American Red Cross and has been owned by the American Red Cross ever since.
Celebrating 100 years of service in Wisconsin, the Red Cross invites visitors to come and view their Wisconsin Region Headquarters. You will experience a day in the life of a ‘Red Crosser’ and experience their day to day operations. Take a self-guided tour and see what it’s like to be part of the Disaster Action Team. Take a stop at the Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV) and see what it’s like to be providing services during a large disaster.
Children will also have the great experience of learning about disaster preparedness through the Red Cross’s Pillowcase Project.
