Access Contemporary Music (ACM) is a non profit organization dedicated to integrating musical creativity into everyday life.  We carry out this mission in several ways: We have three storefront music schools in Chicago which currently serve 270 students and teach creativity alongside note reading.  We have an annual concert season of music by living composers performed by our resident ensemble Palomar that also includes our popular Sound of Silent Film Festival which features newly composed scores performed live to modern silent films.

ACM has partnered with several cities in the Open House Worldwide program including New York, Chicago, Helsinki, Barcelona and, most recently, Milwaukee, to create custom music for the spaces and have musicians perform the music in the spaces on the day of the event.  ACM’s global composer membership program is where all of this wonderful new music comes from.
